Description

Alte Kirche is a Riesling from the vineyard of Palmberg-Terrassen in Sankt Aldegund. This single-vineyard bottling is one of our most historic, cherished, and deeply complex wines. The wine comes from our 0.3 hectare plot, which we acquired in 2021. Vines planted mostly in the 50s and 60s, Palmberg is the part of Sankt Aldegund that stretches away from East-facing Himmelreich (der Bauer), into the shallow side valley of the village, orienting itself South. Grey and blue slate.

Whole-bunch pressed and aged in a barrique for 5 years.
