Description

The ‘Singular’ line is a collection of wines born out of natural curiosity. The no. 1 here is a barrique of 2022 young vine riesling from one of our ‘der Bauer’ parcels. We had two identical barriques and we stopped topping one of them after 12 months, curious to see how the two would develop differently. We continued aging this barrel for another 16 month untopped. At first the untopped barrique developed some light oxidative notes but in the end it turned out surprisingly fresh and reductive. Bottled after 28 months total in barrel. We are very pleased with the result and are happy to be able to share this special bottling with you.
