Description
Eichberg is a Riesling from the vineyard Rรผberberger Domherrenberg in Briedern. This single-vineyard bottling is from one of our most celebrated, expressive vineyards. It’s the first vineyard we took on as a duo in 2023, it’s the vineyard where we got engaged, it’s the vineyard that holds so much emotion for us personally and as winemakers. Vines planted mostly in the 50s and 60s, Eichberg faces South on amphitheater shaped section of the river, making it our warmest vineyard site. The soil here differs a bit from our other vineyard sites, it is comprised of red slate and sandstone.
Pressed whole cluster, fermentation in barrel on full lees, bottled after 20 months in barrel. Aged in tonneau.
